Comments about Beginner's Carving Tools :

I found this same kit at my local hardware store for nearly 80% less. It was exactly the same. However, I liked this set because I was able to get it monogrammed. My only real complaint? I purchased 2 day shipping to get it here before I went out of state for Christmas and I found out AFTER Christmas (when I didnt get it in time) that it was back ordered. I should have at least been reimbursed for my extra shipping charges.

Comments about Beginner's Carving Tools :

I ordered the set to try my hand at carving. When the set arrived, there were problems with two of the chisels. I emailed the company and the president of the company wrote back immediately and asked for my address. He sent me two new chisels and they are excellent. The tools are made in the USA and the customer service is excellent. I am new at this so I have not had a chance to make good use of the tools yet, but they are sharp and are priced very competitively. Thanks Ramelson and Woodcraft.

Comments about Beginner's Carving Tools :

I was given this set for a birthday gift. I use it for small detail jobs on projects that I design and produce for myself and family. It is good for a great many detail uses, however don't use it to pry wood pieces free. The metal hasn't the strength for heavy pry use. Beautifully made and laser printed.

Comments about Beginner's Carving Tools :

[...]However the actual product leaves a bit to be desired. I liked the handle, dimensions of the tools, and even the shape of the cutting edges; but the business of cutting was poor. The blades are soft and require lots of attention from sharpening stones after mild use on medium wood hardness.
