This industrial-quality 15-amp router motor features a 5-speed electronic speed control with a range from 10,000 to 21,000 RPM that is strong enough to maintain constant speed under load.

  • Includes a specially engineered collet that auto-releases the bit, eliminating bit "freeze-up"

    I bought this motor to provide the routing muscle for my new router table with lift. The speed select controls and on/off switch are easy to reach....much easier to manipulate than a lesser HP Porter Cable router that I own. Electronic speed control keeps the motor turning at a steady RPM under all loads.

    I have a small, custom cabinet/furniture shop. My 7518 is one of five routers in my shop. I've had this router for a year now. This router stays mounted under a Jessem router table with a Jessem Master XL lift. What a combination! Fantastic. This router is powerful. Feed stock as fast as you want. It spins large bits with ease. Slow start, selectable speeds and electronically controlled power make this router easy to use and operate (I believe safer too). The 7518 may be Porter-Cable's best router effort. I highly recommend it.

    The Porter Cable 7518 and the Jessem router table are a dream come true. Powerful, safe, accurate, stable and a joy to use. This router motor replaces the PC 893 which does not fit the Jessem table like the PC 7518.
