    i bought mine about 12 yrs. ago from woodcraft and i have had to replace all bearings 2-3 times but the saw is used in a cabinet-shop. only other issue is the switch, it is about 200.00 to replace. compared to the others it is a best buy. i called all the local tool repair shops, asked which do they fix the most , then asked what about this jet, no repairs had been made. it is the smooth and quietest saw i ever used and i have used up to 24" saws.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    great saw ,really pretty quiet.well balanced no vibration which is good because this saws a little lighter then some.the fence is great,dialing it in was a breeze. and the hand cranks glide with easy when you turn them.compared to my old 1 at times.i own a jet shaper and a couple powermatic machines,and u know what your getting when you buy 1,a pretty good piece off equipment.
