Wolverine Grinding Jig will save you time, frustration and money by allowing you to grind tools right the first time and every time. You'll create accurate cutting angles and straight edges in a fraction of the time it now takes and your tools will be easier and safer to work with! The Wolverine system is furnished with two bases, one to mount under each wheel, which permit two simultaneous grinding set ups. Each base accepts either sliding arm. Arms are effortlessly adjusted or secured by a cam locking device. The “V” arm attachment is 27" in length and is perfect for sharpening gouges, skews, chisels, or carving tools. Just pull the arm out until the tool rests on the wheel at the proper angle and you're ready to start. The 3" x 5" platform jig uses quick release ratchet handles for angle adjustments and is perfect for sharpening scrapers. Wolverine comes complete with instructions for installation and use.

Best jig available for sharpening chisels - especially woodturning chisels. Simple to use and set up. A bit costly - you can make one yourself for little or no cost. However, this one will last and last, with no slippage or guesswork.

    Well built

    By  Buck

    from Iowa

    About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer

    Pros

    Cons

    Best Uses

Comments about Wolverine Grinding Jig :

Good quality construction. The tool is apparently designed for an 8" grinder as it has a tendency to catch and kick back when using it on a 6" wheel. This is due to having to bring the cutting edge down low on the wheel to get the correct bevel. The platform jig works great for scrapers, etc.

    Woodturning Tool Sharpening That Works

    About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer

    Pros

    • Easy To Use

    Cons

    Best Uses

    • Shaping/Finishing
    • Sharpening

Comments about Wolverine Grinding Jig :

I purchased this jig along with the vari-grind ( NOT THE VARI-GRIND 2 WHICH IS A PAIN TO USE ). I use it to sharpen all my woodturning tools. As for the vari grind, do not even think about grinding bowl and spindle gouges to fingernail, Elsworth or Celtic or whatever you want to call it with out this jig. These jigs are a must have unless you are that rare person with perfect hand and eye control every time.
