Product Information:

A quick drying sealer which provides an excellent base. This formula does not contain harmful petroleum solvents such as toluene and xylene. A lacquer-based clear sealer and finish that dries to a soft sheen. It is specially formulated to work with any Mylands finishing product or by itself. A brilliant high gloss finish can be achieved on turnings when used in conjunction with a high build friction polish or a rich matte finish when the waxes are used. This product does not contain shellac.

    I thin it about 60/40, 40% lacquer thinner, 60 percent Mylands sealer. Brush on turning, and parts of turned log that may be soft, let dry and apply another coat an hour later, keep doing this till you get an even looking finish, about 3 or four coats on soft part of wood. I then sand from 180 to 400 or 600. This gives a nice even surface to apply a friction build.
