Product Information:

At last, classic American style pens with a cap that screws on and off! No more fussing with the delicate adjustments necessary for the perfect fit on "snap" style fountain pen kits. This kit uses threaded, press fit components, so your cap "screws on" to protect the pen mechanism when not in use. With the exception of the screw cap, this pen is identical to our regular classic American style pens. Requires a 5/8" x 5/8" x 5" blank, pen mandrel, 3/8" pen maker's or brad point bit and American Fountain/Rollerball bushings.

    We bought this to make for my niece for a Christmas present and when we got done with it we had several other family member who also wanted one. The pen was easy to turn and the instructions were very clear which is always a good thing! The iridium nib writes smooth and the ink doesn't pour out which also is a good thing! Today I bought a couple more for our St Louis store!

    I enjoyed turning this pen. The simple profile allows for ease of turning, while the finished product feels comfortable in the hand. I would say the only issue is one common to fountain pens: the ink dries inside the pen making it virtually useless. Keeping the ink wet and constant use should fix that problem.
