Product Information:

These tempered stainless steel mechanisms are made in the USA and are the finest we can find. Most grinder kits require a precisely bored-through hole, but the unique mounting hardware of our kit allows slight inaccuracies in your turning. Easy to assemble and install, these mechanisms can be adjusted from extra coarse to an extra fine grind by turning the knurled top knob. Kit comes complete with instructions and includes a FREE salt shaker top and bottom plug. Mechanism measures approximately 3-1/2" in length. Wood not included.

    Too Many Tools Needed

    Comments about Pepper Grinder Kit, 4" :

    The Pepper Mill calls for a 1 1/16" Forstner bit for the center and a 1 5/8" bit for the bottom. Then to make the Salt Shaker, they suggest a 1" bit for the center and a 1 1/4" bit for the bottom. At around [$] a bit is the difference of 1/16" and 1/8" that critical? They need to rethink the design and instructions. (I used the Pepper Mill Bits for the Salt Shaker and they seemed to work ok.)
