This is a small lock. Use it with wood 5/8 inch or thinner. It was pretty easy to install, though you must rout carefully to leave wood for the two screws that hold it in place.

This is a nice attractive little lock that's easy to install (sharpen your chisels!)if you take your time and think about what you're doing. To drill/locate the keyhole in the stock takes just simple measuring and a little common sense and a good set of Exacto knives to cut out the tang for the key. There were no screws but that's easily solved with a trip to your local [...] that you were probably going to anyway (plus you get screws that aren't going to twist off when you putting them in).

The lock is German-made, and is well constructed. However, there are no matching slotted screws included, nor is there a template supplied to assure proper location of the key hole, and where and in what shape material must be removed to make room for certain aspects of the locking mechanism. I would recommend this lock only because of the lack of alternatives.

Item should include mounting screws. Sizes that fit are small and difficult to find since they were metric sizes and made in Germany.
