Comments about Lynx WCLFCS Flush Cut Hand Saw :

I bought this saw because this was the only flush cutting saw in stock at my local store. It comes with no instructions so you have to figure it out yourself. The saw has a slight kerf on one side so you have to use it with the laser engraving down. It cuts on the push stroke which for me is a little more difficult. The saw has some sort of glue on the heel and tip of the saw that can not be removed so I think it is meant to keep the heel and tip from marring the surface. It can only cut in about 1/4" before it binds a bit but you can push it to 3/8". If your cutting a 1/2" dowel close to a wall you are out of luck because you can not flip the saw over or turn the blade. The saw is not very sharp and didn't hold an edge well. I cut about 15 heart pine dowels with it and it is now more like a file instead of a saw. I ended up completing my project with a chisel instead. Much faster and a nicer cut even with a dull chisel in pine you get a better cut than you can with this saw. On the plus side, the handle is very attractive for a modern saw.
