Carnauba wax is obtained from the leaves of a palm tree known as Copernica Cerifera, which is also referred to as the "Tree of Life". This high quality, white wax is the preferred choice of cabinetmakers. Often dissolved and combined with other softer waxes, carnauba produces the extremely durable and high gloss characteristics of prepared waxes. Sold in convenient 1/2 lb. cakes.
