Bought for my Delta Lathe
Grand Prairie, Texas
Post, 1" Diameter, 5" Long
The post fit my lathe perfect but I had to cut it off a little because it was too long, it made the tool rest way above the center on my part.

Ordered what was in the picture but only got half of it. Didn´t realise i had to order seperately the top of the tool rest.
I bought this tool rest post and the 3.5". The 3.5" post is way short for my Delta full sized lathe but that was my fault when I measured the old rest. This post is a little undersized but not so the I cannot use it. It is a little long for my Delta, you cannot get it to go down enough for some applications. I will need to grind about 1/4 to 3/8 off of the bottom. The round rest that goes on top are not a real good Idea. See the note I left about them. These posts are OK but need to be reworked a little.
not everything it could be...
this post is advertised as 1' in diameter... more accurately it is .975" in diameter... this may seem a small amount of slop, but it makes a difference... i bought this for my powermatic 3520b lathe and did not take into account i needed to add about an inch to the post height to compensate for the shorter rest height... my error and i'll take care of that...
it would be nice if woodcraft had the foresight to indicate whether or not a given rest/post combination would or would not work for various lathes...
i'll be back...
