Product Information:

7" wide jaw and 9" opening.

This heavy-duty vise is unequaled in quality. "Quick-release" action lets you bypass the screw for fast opening and closing. Solid steel dogs in the front jaws, when used in conjunction with a bench stop, allows oversize work to be held securely on the bench top. Machined, toed-in jaws provide a solid grip, while northern hardwood handles provide balance and comfort. The front and back jaws are drilled and tapped for countersunk holes to allow for optional wood facing. Vise easily fits any bench up to 3" thick.

    I installed on my homemade bench so that the inner jaw is behind the bench edge trim to accomodate holding larger pieces. It is solid and easy to install. A must for any woodworking bench! I would recommend it every time.

    It is heavier than I expected. Had to add 3/4 plywood to the bottom of my table to mount it. Just make sure it is on solid. This is something of quality which should last my lifetime.

    The Jorgensen vise quick release works flawlessly each and every time. I also own another brand quick release vise which uses a spring to engage the hand screw. The spring activated vise always fails to properly engage the hand screw. I plan to replace it with the Jorgensen Rapid Action Vice wich is always dependable.
