Mora (morus tinctoria) Guatemala. Mora is a dense, hard, chocolate brown wood with spectacular heavily defined striping of dark browns and reddish blacks swirling through tans and bluish grey. Texture moderately fine to rather coarse; luster is medium to high; grain is straight to interlock. Machines well with sharp tools. Excellent for turning. Larger blocks are +- 1/4" of size listed, smaller blocks +- 1/8". Spindle stock (1-1/2" - 2") dimensions are +-1/8".
