Works as stated it does
KEEN PRODUCTS Router Table Dust Collection Accessory
Works well in my router tables in my shop and save me lots of cleaning up time.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Flexible hose makes it easy to install around obstacles. Works as advertised. The longest hose is about 22" long, and in my case was about a foot less than I needed. Hose is available for $2.50 a foot, plus shipping. [...]
Have to modify
Arizona, Pennsylvania & California
Just picked this unit up , actually bought two of them. I am using them on Rockler table tops with Porter Cable 890 series. Hoses couplings are great. The big problem is the silicon rubber piece that fits under the top and around the shaft of the router. you can not move the router up to change the cutter as it jams because of the thickness. It also interferes with the shaft lock and the switch lock. I finally had to modify the silicon piece by cutting a piece out of it so it fit around the shaft lock and the piece that holds the shaft lock down while your changing the bits. It still gets a little tight when cranking the motor up to change the bit but it makes it usable now. To bad the silicon piece interferes so much. It could have used a little more thought in the design process.
It does capture most of the dust & chips
I have Triton 3 1/2 hp router and it fit between the router and mounting plate in my router table which was easy to stall.

This set up collects more dust, coming from my table mounted router ,than any other method than I've tried. On a normal, fence mounted only, dust collection system almost all the dust from a dado cut would fall below the table. This easily sucked away 99% of dust and chips on this operation. I set this system up on a Porter Cable 7518 3 HP router mounted on a Jessem router lift. The down side is this was difficult to install. I had to pretty much disassemble my Jessem Master lift unit completely to install correctly. From start to finish I'd say it took at least three hours. Which included having to cut a 2 1/2" hole in the rear of my enclosed router table to accommodate. This set up also makes it more difficult to change router bits from above the table. In fact you have to remove the cup that's velcroed to the bottom of the plate as you are not able to raise it high enough to get a wrench on the bottom nut. And even with the cup removed, which requires cranking almost all the way down, your still not able to get a direct fit on the bottom nut of the collect, although it was doable. I don't think I want to change bits this way as I'm afraid that the velcro may become ineffective over time and it just adds another step to the process. So I think I'm going to just change bits from below the table. I guess this is going to be the trade off for much better dust collection. I was hoping I could by pass this step by using of of those Extreme router extensions that eliminate having to use wrenches, but those won't work with this set up because the hole on the flexible cup isn't wide enough for those kinds of chucks to pass through.
Not for router lifts
Hooked this up to my Kreg router lift and it would not let the lift move the router all the way to the top so the bits could be changed from the table top. Might work well for a router setup that doesn't have a lift but is definately not for lift setups.
