GREAT tool for the
WoodRiver Fractional Dial Caliper
I am legally blind (20/400) but am still trying my best to stay active & productive. This is a GREAT "Assistive Devicce". "Thousands of an inch" calipers don't do jack for me, either in the shop or at the jobsite. I use this little gem constantly for O.D.'s, I.D,'s, depths, thicknesses & many other, under 7", measurement questions. With another of my "assistive devises", I can "EASILY"read and/or make adjustments as small as 1/64th". I would not know about doing machining, but for wood working & general building maintenance, this tool is excellant. It is, I believe, finely made, but NOT "bullet proof" AND if you are careless enogh to drop it enough, "YOU DESERVE TO HAVE TO BUY YOURSELF A NEW ONE". I DID AND THEN I DID. Bottom line: IT IS WORTH THE DOLLAR!

accuract, easy to read. Bought this on sale for [$] bucks and am real happy with it. Didn't much care for the $7.50 in shipping.
product is fairly described
As a measuring tool, it operates with clarity and efficiency.
Not worth the price even on sale
The dial does not have any knurling or grip-ability. Just a smooth dial. No wheel for finely sneaking up on measurement.
These two basic things, plus the fact that the ring is so thin when you grab it, it flexes makes this a cheap tool way overpriced for the craftsmanship.

I love it.
I use it to make sure what I am working with are all the same thickness and width when it applies. I love the weight, it has good balance, and appears to be more accurate then others I have used.
I would recomment this to friends.
I needed a new caliper that I can easily read, and this fits the bill nicely! It is easy to read and I am using it constantly. it replaced a digital caliper that I dropped and broke the display and I am very pleased with the dial read out.
most helpful tool
to soon to make appropiate comment but most items from woodcraft store are excellent
This is a good caliper, accurate and ease to use...

Accurate, well made and easy to read for my old eyes. A good value at the sale price.
Every shop needs this
can't beat it for the sale price, I think I paid just under $30 which seems pretty good... I've had this a little over 3 weeks and find myself pulling them out all the time.
