Product Information:

Features state of the art EnduraTech Motor technology that has 71% fewer wear components for five to ten times longer motor life, an electronic motor brake that reduces spin down time by 73% for increased productivity and an integral dust port that accepts 1" and 1-1/2" vacuum hoses for optimal dust collection.

Low profile design with optimized ergonomics, rubber grip for your comfort and control, reduces sander height by 31% for better control and finish.     This is a very nice powerful tool. I works very well and is extremely smooth. I like the braking system when it is turned off. Stops spinning before I can set the thing down. I am in love with this sander!

    I don't know how the other reviewers were using this tool, but it doesn't work nearly as well as my old cheapie (at the time) Bosch 3283. I could hardly tell it was "orbiting" and with a 120-grit disc, it didn't remove stock and epoxy squeeze-out nearly as well as the old Bosch, and it's about to bite the dust (no puns intended). After two or three uses I've resorted to trying to keep the old guy running while I figure out a replacement, and this Porter Cable is now in the back of the "only in an emergency" drawer. If you read many of these web reviews, the nearly universal complaint is that the newer tools don't work as well, or are not built as well, as the old model/version. In many cases I'm afraid that's true. Maybe I'll look on [...]for an older, used, model.

    This is a great sander, best I have ever owned. The only con comment I have is this sander eats wood and products a huge amount of wood dust, you really need to have it attached to a dust collection system or power vac as the little dust collector system on the sander is over powered by this very efficient sander.
