|Woodcraft Plans Sales Conference/Trade Show in Columbus, OhioBack to Press Releases
|PARKERSBURG, W. VA. (May 2012) — Woodcraft Supply franchise store owners, key suppliers and corporate staff will gather in Columbus, Ohio, June 4-7 for the woodworking industry leader’s15th annual sales conference and trade show to be held at the Hyatt Regency and the Columbus Convention Center.

New president Jody Garrett will share with franchise store owners his strategic focus for Woodcraft in the coming year. Garrett was named president May 1 after serving as vice president of marketing and merchandising and Woodcraft Magazine publisher since 2006.
“Bringing all the Woodcraft ‘family’ together offers a chance to exchange and hear new ideas about store operations, as well as see what is new in the woodworking industry,” Garrett said. “Face time promotes successful teamwork, and I look forward to communicating my vision with the Woodcraft team.”
During the conference, store owners will hear several presentations including “The Social Network: How the World Is Connected in the 21st Century” that will explore the growing social media trend, social influence and how to use Internet sites like Facebook to drive traffic. They will also gather for two roundtable sessions to hear and share ideas about how to enhance their customers’ experience and improve their business for the coming year.
Roundtable groups will explore topics such as the product development process, marketing and merchandising, and wood sales.
The two-day Vendor Trade Show will bring the store owners together with Woodcraft’s manufacturing partners to see the newest woodworking tools and accessories on the market.
Three woodworking personalities will be on hand for the trade show. Tommy MacDonald, host of Rough Cut – Woodworking with Tommy Mac, a WGBH Boston public television production, along with executive producer Laurie Donnelly and senior program producer Anne Adams, will visit with show sponsors. Scott Phillips, host of The American Woodshop on PBS, will interview tool manufacturers, and Rob Cosman, hand-tool expert who hosts an online workshop, will have a booth at the show.
Both the sales conference and vendor trade show will be closed to the public.
