Alpharetta Man Wins Workbench In Woodcraft IWF DrawingBack to Press Releases
PARKERSBURG, W. VA. August 2010 – An Alpharetta, Georgia, man is the new owner of a Pinnacle workbench as part of Woodcraft’s participation in the International Woodworking Fair (IWF) in Atlanta in late August.

Woodcraft randomly selected Fabian Samperio as winner from the list of visitors to the Woodcraft IWF booth. Samperio is employed by Masterpiece Doors and Shutters in Alpharetta.

Steve Quehl, owner of the Alpharetta Woodcraft store, presented the Pinnacle Large Traditional Cabinetmaker’s Workbench to Samperio in a brief ceremony at the store. The 72" x 29" x 36-½" American made workbench is based on a design by master craftsman Carlyle Lynch.

In addition to the opportunity to win a workbench, visitors to the Woodcraft booth also watched hand tool and dovetail expert Rob Cosman in action and met Tommy MacDonald, host of Rough Cut – Woodworking with Tommy Mac, a new public television show coming in October. Woodcraft is the sole sponsor of Rough Cut which is produced by WGBH Boston.

It was the first time Woodcraft hosted a booth at IWF. According to Jody Garrett, vice president for marketing and merchandising, “Our purpose in sponsoring a booth was twofold: to gain more exposure for Rough Cut by allowing Tommy to meet more of the folks with whom we do business and to present our new Pinnacle and WoodRiver products, like the workbench and hand planes. We were happy with our response and hope to return in 2012.”
