Originally the Gent’s series of tools was developed for those who wanted a good quality tool for occasional use. Now, these saws feature the same technology used in Veritas® full-sized dovetail and carcass saws. The Crosscut Saw has 22 TPI, with each tooth having a rake angle of 15° and an included angle of 60º, the Rip Saw has 20 TPI, with each tooth having a rake angle of 14° and an included angle of 60º, and both are filed with an alternating bevel of 15°. This design severs the wood fibers instead of tearing them. The blade is secured to the Bubinga handle with a brass nut, while stability is provided by the molded polymer spine. Both blades are 77/8" long and produce a cut depth of 15/8".
