The Hollow Roller is a captive bar system created for turning hollow forms and vessels, designed to be used by the beginner and accomplished turner alike. The “flat” on one side of the bar holds the tool completely captive, allowing the turner to focus on the turning rather than worrying about the tool catching and/or twisting in use. The integrated roller system reduces drag on the bar for better control, and feel, while making any hollowing cut. Hollow Roller easily attaches to almost any size lathe, but must be purchased with the appropriate size adaptor stud, sold separately below. The Carter Hollow Roller has a 17-1/2" handle, 21-1/4" blade with high-speed steel cutter, captive roller system, and steady rest.
