Made in Sheffield England, by Thomas Flinn, using the same high, exacting standards as they did two hundred years ago. The folded brass back provides excellent balance and blade rigidity under downward pressure for fast and accurate crosscuts. The comfortable hand finished, English Elm grips provide a beautiful accent to the saws. The Dovetail Backsaw blade has a .002" set, with 20 points per inch and is filed for a rip cut that produces a .024" kerf. Overall length is 14-9/16", usable blade is 10" long x 2" deep. The Carcass Backsaw is used for precision cuts across the grain. The blade has .003" set, with 13 points per inch and is filed for a crosscut that produces a .026" kerf. Overall length is 16-3/4", usable blade is 12" long x 2-7/16" deep.
