The following accessories are available for Teknatool Nova 3000, DVR 3000 and DVR XP Lathes.
Bed Extension Segment. Precisely machined cast iron bed extensions allow you to increase bed length by 20" per segment and use alignment pins to ensure overall bed accuracy as you add extensions. Includes fastenings and instruction manual.
The NOVA Cast Iron Stand provides rock solid stability for all NOVA lathes. Made from high quality cast iron, with interchangeable leg sections, this stand is the perfect companion to both the Nova 1624 and the Nova XP DVR lathes. Compact for easier mobility and set up, but sturdy enough to cope with the big capacity the NOVA 1624 & DVR XP has - 29" bowls (with optional outrigger accessory) and 44" between centres (with optional accessory extension bed). Mounting holes in the feet of the stand allow it to be bolted to floor avoiding any "walking" when roughing or turning large out of balance work. This unit is easy to assemble and is easy to clean since there is no collection area under the lathe. Outboard Tool Rest Assembly. This heavy duty cast iron outboard rest unit is designed to provide rock steady chisel support for all larger turning work up to 29" in diameter. The arm system articulates out to give adequate clearance from the spindle for work with a thickness up to 8.5". The arm articulates through a wide arc, and the toolrest post can be locked along the length of the arm to allow for all shapes and sizes of woodturning including rim turning. The unit is easily bolted in place at the end of the headstock bed casting and requires no more room allowance than the normal lathe because the unit is designed to be used with the Nova 3000's and DVR's swivel headstock in front of the lathe.
Heavy Duty Bowl Rest. A new design bowl rest made out of 25mm solid steel, it's much more sturdy and vibration absorbing than the old design. As a bonus, it has a shape which gives better chisel support on the outside and inside of bowls. Because of the curve you are able to position your chisel support much closer to the bowl than before.
3" Tool Rest. Handy for smaller work when you don't want a toolrest to get in the way. 1" shank.
Nova Hand Wheel is used on the outboard end of the Nova 3000 lathe spindle. Simple to screw into place, the handwheel is used to assist the turner in positioning work or to slow it down manually. The Vacuum coupler can be added to this unit to make a Vacuum holding option.
Vacuum Adapter. Vacuum chucking is a handy way of remounting bowls to return the outside - to add more decoration or simply remove previous holding areas to give a completely smooth bottom. The Vacuum coupler accessory allows enables you to adapt your Nova 3000 to a vacuum source. The vacuum coupler consists of a sealed ball bearing unit with a boss section with threaded holes to allow you to attach a plastic tube (not provided) which goes to your vacuum source - most commonly a household vacuum cleaner. Some custom fitting of the hose to the vacuum cleaner will be necessary. The vacuum coupler fits into a Nova 3000 handwheel (available seperately). The hollow spindle of the Nova lathe provides the airway through to the chucking end of the vacuum facility.
