While raw beeswax is an often used ingredient in homemade, custom wax polishes, it is also an excellent, light lubricant for wooden moving parts such as drawer slides or wooden bench screws. Carnauba Wax. This high quality, white wax is the preferred choice of cabinetmakers. Often dissolved and combined with other softer waxes, carnauba produces the extremely durable and high gloss characteristics of prepared waxes. Sold in convenient 1/2 lb. cakes.
