HOCK Replacement Blades

Since 1982, Hock Tools has been making high quality Replacement Plane and Spokeshave Blades. These handmade blades are 17% thicker than standard blades, allowing closer throat-opening settings, finer shavings, and reduced chatter.  Fits Stanley, Bailey, Record, Footprint, and most other planes. Made in USA or France. Honing required before use.

Available in O1 High Carbon Steel or A2 Cryogenically-treated tool steel.  O1 blades feature a hardened grain structure that is as fine as possible which allows honing to the sharpest possible edge.  A2 blades have a larger grain structure and are cryogenically treated helping them to retain a sharp edge longer.  While the A2 retains its edge longer, the O1 is easier to sharpen to the sharpest edge possible.
